This is a place to ask questions, propose changes, identify policies that need to be altered, and resources to actively do something about racism, locally, nationally, and globally. Your thoughts are important, as we invite you to think about how racism has affected all of us and continues to be "the" force that separates us in this country.

Racism and Unity

Listen to Gordon speak with Logan Crawford from The Spotlight Network on his book and listening, learning and living together. I delve into my personal experiences and family narratives to explore the importance of embracing the Black community and confronting ingrained biases.

Who is an antiracist? One who…

  • understands that racism is a white problem

  • knows the history of racism in this country

  • is working, acting, learning, and listening to people of a different race

  • understand race as a social construct, not an actual fact

  • realizes that racism and racist are at least two different ideas

  • participates in exposing, and challenging acts of racism, de facto, personal, and social thought patterns

  • would call for a restructuring of our power centers

Racism: Can we listen, learn, and live together?

I’ve released my book "Racism: Can We Listen, Learn, and Live Together?" I have shared how our family has approached the subject with determination and passion. My hope is that our story might encourage many more of us to delve into this issue that has been the unwritten story of most of our Black neighbors and communities.
